I must admit Bentley has never really been my cup of tea, but that all changed a couple of months ago when I received a phone call from Bentley asking if I would cover the launch of their new Continental GT down in Queenstown. The images were to be provided to a number of motoring journalists from Australia and New Zealand to document the launch of the new GT. As you can imagine I was pretty excited about this one, $395,000 Bentley in Queenstown at the most beautiful time of the year.
Client: Bentley Motors Ltd
Location: Queenstown /Amisfield Winery
Assistant & Post Production: Mark Cornellison
The first day of the shoot the car was all ours, we had a few locations that which we had scouted out the day before but thankfully I decided to ignore this and headed to the access road of Coronet peak ski field. We arrived just before sunrise and were blessed with a truly awesome vista. Having spent most of the day shooting on the access road we then headed to Arrowtown and finished up at Amisfield Winery for the evening light.
The second day of the shoot was spent with the journalists, a million dollors worth of Heritage cars and the Bentley team. (note: Heritage make really bad tracking vehicles) The journalists got to take the car for a 2 hour test drive (some of them managed to do this in half the time somehow ?) then it was back to Amisfield for launch and a presentation to talk about what was new and improved. The images were in Autocar, Top gear Australia, Wheels and various online motoring blogs.

Thank you to the Bentley team, the guys from Independent Prestige, Bruce for his fearless driving of the heritage cars and Mark for assisting and his awesome post production skills.
